Below is a list of the most frequently asked Questions about our Foam Party Events
The foam party concept is new to most people. If your questions aren't answered below, please feel free to email us at info@foamingdragon.ca and we'll get back to you right away.
-
What areas do you service? For private parties, and smaller events we cover south Georgian Bay, including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Owen Sound, Saugeen Shores (Southampton, Port Elgin). If you are located outside of our current service area, we would still love to host your foam party. An added travel charge will be necessary. For larger corporate parties we cover all of southern Ontario.
-
Are foam parties safe for kids?Yes! We only use the highest quality foam solution for our foam party events. The foam is bio-degradable, non-toxic, non-staining and hypoallergenic. It is completely safe for kids, adults and even your pets! (Yes, we do foam parties for dogs too.) We always have some extra towels on hand in case someone needs to wipe foam from their face or eyes.
-
Will the foam damage my grass? No. The foam is non-toxic and biodegradable. The foam is over 99% water and will dissipate on it's own. Private foam parties lasting 60 to 90 minutes will not harm grass. Extended Parties with large crowds could end up muddier than Woodstock '69.
-
What should I wear to a foam party? We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing (a t-shirt and shorts or bathing suits). A change of clothes and towel is always wise for after party comfort. For colored foam parties a white t-shirt is often fun to wear to enjoy seeing your shirts change color! Colored foam will wash off your skin but may stain your clothing.
-
What ages is a foam party good for?Children and adults from ages 3-103 love foam parties. There is a misconception that foam parties are just for kids. 'Adults Only' vacation resorts have weekly foam parties at the pool which are often the highlight of the vacation for participants. Young teens can be a hard age group to plan parties for. A foam party will always be a hit with this demographic.
-
How much space is needed? An area of at least 20x20 feet is preferred although we can easily fill a larger space. Foam parties work on both grass and pavement making your backyard or front driveway equally suitable for your foam party. The area should be a flat surface that is clean and free of any obstacles.
-
Is the foam slippery?Foam is about as slippery as water, so it’s possible to slip if you’re on long grass or a smooth, glossy surface such as glazed tile. To prevent slipping, we recommend guests avoid running in foamy areas. There is a misconception about foam being slippery: on a concrete surface, the foam in not slippery at all.
-
Will participants get wet at a foam party?Depending how much fun they are having they will range from dry, to damp, to wet, to soaked! We recommend having a change of clothes and a towel for after the foam party.
-
What if I need more information on the foam solution that you use for foam parties? We use only the highest quality solution for our foam. It’s bio-degradable, non-staining, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic! It’s also safe for babies, pets, and the environment including lawns and gardens. Our foam is made up of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Glycerol & Water. These are also the main ingredient used in things like shampoo, dish soap, and even toothpaste but without the additional chemicals and perfumes. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), a cleaning agent and surfactant, is an ingredient in many personal care and cleaning products. SLS is derived from natural sources like coconut and palm kernel oil. Multiple scientific bodies have reviewed SLS as an ingredient in personal care and cleaning products and determined its typical use in these applications to be safe for both consumers and the environment. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) includes SLS on its list of multipurpose additives allowed as a direct food additive. For more information on SLS click here. Glycerol, sometimes referred to as glycerin, is sugar alcohol widely used in a variety of personal care products, including toothpaste, hair conditioner, cosmetics, and moisturizers. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the primary regulator of over-the-counter products and food packaging materials. FDA has approved glycerol for use as an additive to food packaging materials. Glycerol also has been approved for use in skincare products. FDA has placed glycerol on its Generally Recognized as Safe List. For more information on Glycerol please click here.
